Past Pupils Association of Sri Pangnanada National School (SPNSPPA) has established the Students’ Scholarship Foundation, which is the first and the only students’ scholarship programme in the school history. Here, the applications of needed students which are recommended from the school (class teacher and the principal) will be forwarded to the SPNSPPA scholarship foundation. Then the scholarship foundation will find out a sponsor to support the relevant student financially. The duration of the scholarship will depend on the student’s academic performance in each year and the willingness of the donor.

The scholarship foundation has able to find out sponsor to each and every forwarded student’s application up to now.

Scholarship foundation has two future aims. One is to maintain a sponsor pool which consists of potential sponsors in order to support as many students as possible without delay when the recommended applications are received. Second is to develop and maintain a Scholarship Fund. The Purpose of the scholarship fund is to avoid any interruptions of receiving monthly financial support for the student when the relevant sponsor unable to contribute in an occasion (due to illness, financial crisis etc.)

Recently, the scholarship foundation extended their support to university students as well. Here, the students who are enrolled in government universities through A/L exam results can apply for the scholarships. Still no applications received from such students.
